24 Hours of Le Mans, Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France
The Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans France is the venue for the worlds oldest and most iconic sports car endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The track is situated on the outskirts of Le Mans, France, and uses local roads that remain open to the public most of the year.
The 13.6km circuit has been used in different guises since 1923 to hold a 24 hour sports car race. Auto manufacturers have battled one another for the prestige of winning this iconic event and proving the reliability and speed of their marque. Some manufacturers have been able to dominate for a number of years with Bentley, Jaguar, Ferrari, Ford, Porsche and more recently Audi in that bracket.
The 2015 race featured an epic battle between Porsche and Audi, with Porsche winning out with a one-two finish. Kiwi Earl Bamber partnered by Nico Hulkenberg and Nick Tandy took the win from another kiwi, Brendan Hartley, who drove alongside Mark Webber and Timo Bernhard. Earl was the first New Zealand driver to win the race since Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme triumphed in 1966 in a Ford GT40.

The circuit features numerous camping sites, and thousands of fans flock there for the weekend. On our tour we stay right at the circuit with easy access to be able to come and go to take in all the action and atmosphere that occurs over the duration of the race.
Our tour starts in Paris where you will have a couple of free days to check out the amazing sights Paris has to offer, before picking up our RV Motorhomes and heading to Le Mans. After the race we will head back to Paris and then you are free to explore more of France, UK or Europe before heading back to New Zealand.
